Dr. Dean Ornish Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation Program
Stamford Hospital now offers Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation, and is the first hospital in the state of Connecticut to offer this unique and life saving program.
Formally known as the Dr. Dean Ornish Program for Reversing Heart Disease, the program provides a comprehensive approach to preventing heart disease and reducing future cardiac events for patients who have cardiovascular disease. Both individual and group sessions are available to complete the 72 sessions of exercise, nutrition, group support and stress management.
