Day of Dance
As a Spirit of Women member, Stamford Hospital and the Fairfield County Chapter of the LINKS are proud to announce the 4th annual "Day of Dance" for cardiovascular health and wellness.
Day of Dance helps to raise community awareness and motivate consumers to take action for a healthier heart and that good this is just a dance away. The event will include education on heart disease and prevention, cholesterol and blood pressure screenings, prominent physician speakers, music, dance demonstrations, instruction and much more
Nearly 500,000 women die each year of cardiovascular disease, making it the leading cause of death for American women. Your attendance will help us raise community awareness that heart disease is preventable and the number one killer of women in this country. Most women are caregivers. But we never take on keeping our own health up.
As women, we are natural educators and caregivers. Stamford Hospital has joined with Spirit of Women network of hospitals to get the message out that Health is Action. We are passing this word to family and friends through programs and events that we will be hosting throughout the year.

Sponsorship/Donation
Your support in helping our community to prevent heart disease and improve the lives of women and children in our community is much appreciated. We are looking for your sponsorship to keep this event free of charge for our community. Our goal is to promote dance as a physical activity to promote heart health and wellness. Last year's event was a big success with over 400 participants and over 40 vendors. We are expecting an increase in participation for Day of Dance 2010.
